Raju Menon has been elected as the chairman of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Dubai Chapter. He was currently serving as the vice chairman of the Dubai Chapter of this prestigious body of accounting professionals.
Raju Menon is the founder, chairman and managing partner of the Kreston Menon Group which is one of the leading consulting, accounting and audit firms in the Middle East.
He said in his address to the chapter, that he along with the team is committed to transforming the ICAI Dubai Chapter to a centre of excellence and will take conscious and concrete steps to strengthen and enhance the image of the Chapter in the region.
The chapter also elected Nimesh Makvana as the vice chairman, Naveen Kumar Sharma as the secretary and Sangeetha Nahar as the treasurer. Anish Mehta, Mahmood Bangara, Nimesh Lokhandwala, Pankaj Mudra and Prabhdeep Singh Baweja will serve as executive members of the managing committee. Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is a statutory body established in 1949 for the regulation of the profession of Chartered Accountants in India. While the ICAI has around 217,000 members at present, approximately one million students are pursuing the course in various centers at various stages. Besides 23 Chapters in foreign countries, this apex body of chartered accountants have five regional head quarters, 128 branches and 275 study centers, making ICAI the second largest professional accountants’ body in the world second only to American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (CPA).
